Detective Paige Whiskey has a lot on her plate. A gate to Hell is permanently seared into her soul and she has no way of controlling it. She let a psychotic serial killing demon free in exchange for Dexx’s life. Her sister is about to have a baby and a whole world of crazy has opened in the Whiskey household. And, if that wasn’t enough, she and Dexx are trying to figure out their relationship.
They’re about to discover a world that has been hidden from the Whiskeys. A world of shapeshifters, werewolves, and vampires. A world that was hidden to end a bloody war. A war between shifters and witches.
Paige has to make a decision. Solve this murder and start a war? Or ignore it and keep her family safe?
But when Dexx is bitten, all everything changes. War? Or love?
Why is nothing ever simple?

Hey, guys! Thanks for joining us on the tour for Blood Moon Magick. Today, I’m interviewing one of our characters and I’ve chosen Dexx Colt, our local demon hunter. He’s our love interest and he’s the one who keeps Paige’s head on straight. Give it up for…Dexx Colt, ladies and gentlemen.
**Dexx offers all the ladies a melting smile and unbuttons his suit jacket button**
Frankie: Wow. You dressed up for the occasion.
Dexx: Seemed like I should. After all, we’re here to make the book a success.
Frankie: Tell me, what it’s like being a character in this book.
Dexx: **Raises eyebrows and glances at audience** It’s a little like living in a circus of wild monkeys, but monkeys that exist in space and have gills so they can breathe dark matter.
Dexx: What you don’t realize is that I’m here, existing in your head, and there’s all these different worlds. The one you let me exist in is the easiest by far. But, just the other day, I went to retrieve my gun from the trunk of my car and was nearly side-swiped by some huge frelling jellyfish.
Frankie: Oh my word. That’s right. I was rearranging things. Wasn’t I?
Dexx: Yeah. I mean, it gets weird in here when you’re not writing and you’re just letting us “live through our lives.” You don’t always keep everything separated.
Frankie: **chuckling** Oops. Let’s discuss your romance life. You and Paige are a rather unique couple and the way you interact is rather interesting. Can you tell me a little about that?
Dexx: Well, Paige is a rather unique woman. She’s not a flowers and Champaign kind of girl. She’s also not the hot wings, beers, and a game kind of woman, either. She’s somewhere in between, and she’s always fighting to be seen as an equal. You know, because…boobs. Which I don’t mind. At all. Romancing an independent woman is tough. It can be difficult to know when—and if—you’re supposed to offer comfort or “pull her head from her ass,” as she’d so eloquently puts it.
Frankie: Oh my word! That’s a true statement, but you seem to be doing okay.
Dexx: I hope so! We’re already into book 4, right now, shooting scenes in Witches of the West. And, well, I wish I could say it’s all hot, steamy sex and good times. But there’s just a lot of other stuff. Poopy diapers. Kids. Family. Witches. Holy cow. Witches.
Frankie: What’s it like working so closely with them?
Dexx: Well, it’s—I mean, I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone, you know. But it’s interesting. Each witch is different, and then each group of witches is different. They all approach magick in a different way, and, working with them, you get to see a whole new side of our world that’s far, far beyond bullets and knives.
Frankie: What can you tell us about Whiskey magick?
Dexx: Uh, hmm. Good question. It’s…a bit chaotic. And clean. I mean, as you get further into the witch world, you’ll get a better understanding of their magick origins, I think. But it’s—I mean, it’s just bright. The other witch’s magick kinda seem dark. Or maybe it’s the other witches themselves. I don’t know. But there’s a lot of chaos in the Whiskey house.
Frankie: Is that their magick, or more their life?
Dexx: **holds up hand** You’re gonna get me in trouble here. Life with them is crazy. There is no quiet time. It’s just crazy. But I was talking just their magick. It’s so versatile. Lots of different abilities and they were allowed the freedom to develop as they wanted. Well, mostly.
Frankie: By now, most of us know that you’re a shapeshifter. What’s that like?
Dexx: Incredible. And awe-inspiring. And terrifying. At the same time.
Frankie: How long do you think you will have a hard time controlling your shift?
Dexx: Not lo—Franks, you do realize you’re the author, right? You know what I can’t say?
Frankie: Yes. But I’m really excited about your storyline, too.
Dexx: Oh my god. Um, anyway, not much longer. We’re running through a scene right now that’s solving a lot of problems I’ve had. But—I mean, just wow. It opens a lot more problems. The crap you think up. That’s all I gotta say about it.
Frankie: **grins** Well, that’s all the time we have for now. If you have questions you’d like to ask Dexx, either message me on Facebook or Twitter, or ask your questions in the comments below. Thank you for joining us! Have a super day!
