Book Review: Always For You

AlwaysMaureen Evans has had a crush on Smith Harrington since they were in college together. She always knew he didn’t see her as anything more than his best friend—just one of the guys—but that didn’t stop her from weaving sexy fantasies about him.

Now, after years of maintaining a long-distance friendship, Smith’s moving to Burton, Georgia, Maureen’s hometown, to become her partner at the veterinary clinic. After all this time, she should be able to handle working with him without getting hot and bothered.

Or maybe not.

The more determined Maureen is to maintain their just-friends bond, the more Smith seems intent on testing those boundaries. And when flirting crosses the line into something more, it ends in a night neither of them can forget.

When friendship is no longer enough, there’s always love.

B1S-mKwMCoS._UX250_Tawdra Kandle writes romance, in just about all its forms. She loves unlikely pairings, strong women, sexy guys, hot love scenes and just enough conflict to make it interesting. Her books include from YA paranormal romance, NA paranormal and contemporary romance, and adult contemporary and paramystery romance. Series include The King Quartet, The One Trilogy, Crystal Cove Romances, and The Recipe For Death series. She lives in central Florida with a husband, kids, sweet pup and too many cats. And yeah, she rocks purple hair.

My Thoughts:

This is another great book from Tawdra. In this book we meet Maureen and Smith. They met in college and were great friends. What neither of them knew was that they were both secretly in love with each other.

Fast forward 10 years. They are now graduated and both veterinarians. Maureen moves back to her hometown and buys an old large home, and takes over the only veterinarian office in town. She asks Smith if he would like to become a partner with her. He of course accepts.

10 years have not changed anything for these two in the way they feel. They are both head over heels in love with each other. I personally think Maureen suffers from low self esteem. She doesn’t think anyone would want to be around her for her fun personality and that no one could possibly fall for her. She is dead wrong. She has a lot of friends and family. Smith is head over heels in love with her.

This is a sweet modern day love story. This book reminds me that you never know what the future holds and to never give up on love.
I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.
