About The Nittany Quill
Talus collaborated in 1997 with Joy Rodgers-Mernin, owner of The Nittany Quill, to produce a collection of memory books featuring Joys’ calligraphy, enduring quotes, and beautifully illustrated watercolor borders.
Joy began her art career at a young age while on her childhood dairy farm in central Pennsylvania. Noticing how she could create beautiful colors by blending food colorings in icings for her mayonnaise cakes, she went on to develop her early color theory at Mercersburg Academy and graduated with a degree in Fine Art from Smith College, where she also studied calligraphy. Her love of bright color and the natural beauty of the outdoors is the inspiration for her art and prose.
Located in State College, Pennsylvania, The Nittany Quill was established in 1984 by Joy and her husband Keith as a fine stationery shop dedicated to the paper and writing experience. The quaint shop offers an illustrated assortment of greeting cards, boxed notes, journals, gifts and framed calligraphy quotes. You can visit the site at www.thenittanyquill.com
Talus was established in 1985 by a professor of sculpture, a professor of neurophysiology and a Harvard MBA who combined their skills and talent to bring to market well designed consumer products that delivered good function, comfort, organization and convenience. Located in Portland, Maine, the Talus mission is to provide friendly and responsive service, to design products with quality and integrity, and to support Talus employees, customers and the local community with honest communication and respect.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always losing stuff. I lose the remote constantly or my phone. This over the arm chair/couch chair pocket is exactly what someone like myself needs. I can now keep everything I need at my fingertips.
In the above picture I have my phone, the remote and my e reader. There is one large pocket on one side, and 2 smaller pockets on the other. I think this product would be great for our older loved ones. They can keep all of their favorite items at their fingertips.
You can pick from two different colors for the chair pocket: Dusty Rose and Sage. For my review I picked Sage. It will match a chair my mom is receiving from my sister perfectly.
One of the things I loved is the backing of this chair pocket keeps it in place and does not fall off of the chair. This would make a great gift for anyone in your life.
