Garden Lites snuck vegetables in their muffins!
I will admit, I don’t always eat healthy although I should. Junk food just tastes way too good to resist sometimes! Garden Lites muffins are the answer to my problems. They are made with carrots AND zucchini.
For the purpose of my review I received 2 boxes of the chocolate and 2 boxes of the blueberry oat muffins. Oh my are these delicious! You can’t tell they have vegetables in them.
My husband will be the first to tell you that he HATES zucchini. He’s a grown man that will make a scrunched up face like a kid being forced to eat vegetables. I got these to try and I gave him one of each to try. When he asked what it was, I simply said a chocolate muffin and a blueberry muffin. He loved them both! After he ate both of them completely I then informed him they have zucchini in them…oh I’m a tricky one.
The best part is that these are frozen and can be heated in the microwave for only 35 seconds. Each muffin is in it’s own clear plastic wrapper. If your kids know how to read and you want to get them to eat these delicious muffins to get some extra vegetables in them, you can take them out of the box and store them in a freezer safe baggie then they won’t read the words “carrots and zucchini”.
You can find these in some local stores or order online. There are even recipes on their website using their products. These are great to have on hand for after school snacks for the kids, or if you are on a diet but want something sweet.
