Do you like popcorn balls? I remember getting them in my trick or treat bag as a child. My sister liked them. I wasn’t much of a fan. I also don’t really like popcorn so that makes sense.
Today at the store my mother in law was looking for popcorn balls. Our local grocery store did not have any in. I saw this posted by a friend of mine and instantly thought my readers could possible be interested as well.
This is a very simple recipe. I think it would be a lot of fun for the whole family to do together. I love to do either crafts or cook with my children. I love to be able to teach them using everyday techniques.
I can picture this being made in my house. Everyone would have so much fun decorating their own popcorn ball with their favorite candy or Halloween items.
I love that there are only a few ingredients and they are ones we know and trust.
3 cups brown sugar
3 cups corn syrup
1 ½ cups butter (3 sticks)
3 tsp. salt
48 cups popcorn, popped (about 3 cups un-popped kernels)
Makes roughly 36 small popcorn balls
This is not my recipe. This recipe came from my friend Mandi. You can find her blog at Taking Time For Mommy
