In HEALED BY LOVE…
Nate Braden has loved his best friend’s younger sister Jewel for as long as he can remember, but between their age difference and his respect for Rick, he’s always kept his feelings at bay. Now he’s back in Peaceful Harbor, and Jewel is no longer sixteen years old–but there’s an even bigger obstacle standing in his way. Nate and Rick joined the military together eight years earlier. Nate came home a hero, but Rick didn’t make it out alive.

My Thoughts:

This is the first book in the Love in Bloom series I’ve read. I am totally in love with those hot Braden boys. I want to go back and read all the other books in the series now as well.

Grief is a tricky thing. Everyone heals from grief differently and on their own terms. Jewel has lost not only her father but her brother. Jewel put her life on hold in order to help her mother with her young siblings. Somewhere along the way Jewel also lost herself. All of her time and concern was towards her family.

Nate has loved Jewel for as long as he can remember. He never said anything because Jewel is the younger sister of his best friend Rick.

Unfortunately Rick died while deployed, while Nate came home. Will a secret end Jewel and Nate before they even began?

I received this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.

This looks like it will be a interesting book to read. Coming from a military family, I have been lucky to not have lost any of my loved ones to the various conflicts that they have served in. Everyone deserves a chance at love regardless of age difference and family circumstance. I am very excited to see how this is handled.
