What is a Media Kit?

A media kit is an important part of your blog or business. It is a quick summary of what you do, what you offer, and other companies you have worked with. If you are a blogger like myself, it’s very important to have a media kit. They can usually be found under the headings of Advertising, PR, Work with Us, Media Page, or Media Kit. The types of offers one might get with a media kit are advertising campaigns, sponsorships, publishing deals, etc.

Remember, big or small bloggers and businesses benefit from using media kits. A media kit helps a company realize why they need to work with you. You have to sell  yourself to a company sometimes and media kit helps.

I loved how easy it was to make a beautiful professional media kit from the templates provided by Hip Media Kits. The template is a word document. You can easily import your blog/companies information and graphics. When you are finished, save it as a pdf file and you are ready to send out your media kit.

There are 5 kits to choose from. Some are 1 page and some are 3 pages. It all depends on your preference and what information you would like to showcase. I personally used the Tami Cute template. You can see my Media Kit.

Each kit retails $24.99. You can also purchase the bundle of all of the templates at a 30% off savings for $87.46.
