HOOT for Kids makes it easy for kids to practice their small motor skills through play with their customized toy and activity boxes.
HOOT for Kids was born out of our love and passion for children and is led by Lisa, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. Lisa has dedicated over 25 years helping babies and school aged children alike to challenge themselves recognizing the beauty within each child and their individual differences that make every child unique. Through play, children can learn and grow in their excitement of the world around them.
Toys foster growth and can be used in many creative ways, including as a tool to enhance key developmental areas: fine motor, gross motor, and sensory processing skills. In addition, the right toys and activities can also help parents be instrumental in facilitating developmental milestones. Toys can be utilized to address a child’s physical limitations, sensory integration issues, speech and language concerns and other developmental delays including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
HOOT for Kids boxes is customized for your child.
I received a box of toys customized for my 3-year-old niece. The box was full of fun activities for her to play with. The box contained the following:
Memory Match-Popsicle: Matching has never been more fun with these delightful popsicles. The popsicles can be arranged on the table for pattern matching or have your child make up their own. For younger children, leave the pieces turned up and see how quickly they can find a match.
2 Pack Sparkling: This amazing dough is brightly colored and smells wonderful! It is sure to be a pleasant welcome to the senses with its soft and pleasing texture. Bring out the cookie cutters, molds and rolling pins and your child will strengthen all the fine motor muscles of the hand. For the older child, have them roll out long snake-like pieces and snip pieces off with child-safe scissors. Rolling out long pieces is another way of shaping numbers and letters too. On a separate sheet of paper show your child an uppercase letter. See if they can form it with rolled out dough pieces or have them place pieces of dough over the letter.
Groovy Lil’ Love Bus: This fun-filled love bus will take your child into pretend play and allow their imagination to run wild. Couple this with blocks to build a city for the bus to cruise around and other vehicles to join in on the fun.
You can sign up to receive either 1, 3, 6 or 12 boxes. They even have a newborn box! What child in your life would love a customized activity box?
