My Review:

My husband is a big Tony Stark/Iron Man fan. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve watched those movies. He has often talked about making his own arc reactor. I was excited to have the opportunity to review this toy, so was he.

There are 2 modes of play with this reactor. You can have it set on light mode and when you press the sides the reactor lights up and makes noise. The lab mode is like a puzzle. There are little pieces that fit into the reactor. You have to put them in the right slot to make the reactor light up.

If you are a Tony Stark/Iron Man fan, you’ll see him in the second movie replacing memory chips into the reactor that sits in his chest. The lab setting mimics that.

What we loved is that it even comes with a plastic piece that you can add to the back to display your reactor when you are not playing with it. My husband has his on our entertainment center in the living room.

Not only is this a great toy, it can also be a great unique Halloween costume. Everyone knows you can buy an Iron Man suit costume. However, it’s harder to buy one that lets you be Tony Stark. My husband dressed up as Tony Stark for a Halloween party recently. He wore simply attached the arc reactor to his chest with duct tape (for a child you can use a softer tape like medical tape) and wore a plain black t-shirt. He then cut a hole in the shirt so the reactor is displayed better. Here is a picture of his costume.
