Kyocera offers a great 3 in 1 tool Ends 2/24

logoKyocera offers a great 3 in 1 tool for the kitchen.  I reviewed their Slicer set. It is a Mandolin, Julienne Slicer & Grater in one.

About Kyocera:

Kyocera Corporation, the headquarters and parent company of the global Kyocera group, was founded in 1959 in Kyoto, Japan as a start-up venture by Dr. Kazuo Inamori and seven colleagues. Kyocera’s founders shared a vision of creating a company dedicated to the successful manufacture and sale of innovative, high-quality products based on advanced materials and components. Over the past four decades, this vision has resulted in a highly successful and widely diversified global enterprise.

Kyocera’s North American operations have contributed strongly to the company’s overall success. We established our first North American sales company in 1969, a two-person operation serving Silicon Valley’s burgeoning semiconductor industry and other high-tech markets throughout the United States. Our North American operations have since expanded to more than 5,000 employees engaged in the manufacture and sale of a broad range of state-of-the-art, high-technology products in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Today, Kyocera is the world’s largest and highest quality manufacturer of advanced ceramic knives, kitchen tools and stationery products.

Slicer Set: Adj Mandolin, Julienne Slicer & Grater Product Description:

Kyocera’s handy six-piece set equips you with everything you need for a variety of slicing and grating tasks. The three color-coded tools are ideal for using over bowls, plates, or the container for quick jobs. They’re also designed to fit securely on top of the container lid, which doubles as a vessel for collecting and measuring food. Perfect for cabbage, carrots, cucumber, onions, potatoes, daikon, ginger, hard cheese and more.

Features:

• Set of three tools with plastic container and hand guard. Includes: adjustable slicer (black), julienne slicer (red), and coarse grater (green)

• Easy to use Adjustable Mandolin: turn dial on back for four different thickness settings

• Lid and bottom serves as a container for collecting and storing food

• Handles provide a comfortable grip while grating or slicing

• Ultra sharp, durable ceramic blades won’t rust or brown foods

• Included hand guard holds food securely and protects fingers

• Foods glide effortlessly through the sharp, ceramic blade

•Use the corner notches to fit the slicer on top of most bowls

• Perfect for cabbage, carrots, cucumber, onions, potatoes, daikon, ginger, and more

Set Contains:

  • • Adjustable Slicer, black
  • • Julienne Slicer, red
  • • Coarse Grater, green
  • • Two-piece Container, clear
  • • Handguard-Garnishing Tool, clear

My Review:

I am always looking for ways to safe time and space in the kitchen.  This slicer set does just that. I used it recently when making salads for dinner. I love cucumber in my salad but prefer them to not be big chunks. I was able to easily use the mandolin to slice very thin pieces of cucumbers. It was prefect.

What I love the most is how all of the pieces fit into the storage case. You can slice your food either over the bowl of your food, or in the storage container. I chose to use the storage container.

Cleanup is easy and everything can be stored in the plastic container. The container not only makes storage a snap but it helps you to stay safe. Since the blades are contained in the plastic container you don’t have to worry about accidentally touching the blade and getting hurt.
