It’s time for another great literary question from Literary Addicts. This week’s question is: What is your favorite book quote?
Join our group HERE to find out next week’s theme!
When I first read the question for this week I was stumped. I was like “Yikes! I don’t know my favorite quote!!” Then it suddenly came to me. It’s a great quote from the book The Help.
For everyone that has either read the book, or seen the movie they will remember when the character Aibileen Clark was holding the child she cared for on her lap and said “You is kind. You is smart. You is important.”
I love this quote because I believe every child should be loved. Every child should be told this. Too many times children are raised without hearing encouraging words such as these. I feel we should be trying to instill good self esteem in children. It’s not easy to be a parent but it’s a job that I love. Adults need to hear this quote and believe it as well. It’s a great quote for everyone.
