Recipe: Homemade Beefaroni

It’s hard to believe it’s the end of October already. Fall is a busy time for many families with school, sports etc. Sometimes it’s hard to get everyone together for a home cooked meal. It’s also hard to have the time to make a home cooked meal. Everyone would love to feed their family a healthy dinner every night. This is a simply recipe that does just that and is very easy to make. It’s also a great recipe for right before payday.

1 onion, diced

1 green pepper, diced

1 T. garlic

1 box elbox macaroni

1 lb ground beef

3 cup spaghetti sauce

Homemade Beefaroni Ingredients

  1. Cook macaroni according to directions.

  2. While macaroni is cooking, heat oil in a skillet and saute onions and pepper. Add garlic. Stir in beef and cook through. Then add in spaghetti sauce and cook until mixture is hot.

  3. Add in macaroni, stir until evenly coated.

My family loves when I make this recipe. This dish only takes about 15 minutes to make. Most people have the ingredients on hand at all times or at least most of them. You can change this dish up as well by using different spaghetti sauces. My family just prefers the Hunt’s Three Cheese sauce.

If you try this recipe let me know how your family likes it. I bet even your pickiest eater will eat this one!

I make something similar to this. But instead of spaghetti sauce, I use a chili mix and add chili beans and wha la – it’s a pot of chili mac! Great minds think alike!!
    Thanks for sharing!
