DeLa’Casa offers these great reusable silicone drinking straws that I absolutely love.
Do you know how many straws are used on a daily basis? 500 million! That would fill over 125 school buses with straws every day or 46,400 school buses every year! Drinking straws are among the top 10 plastics found in the oceans.
The silicone reusable drinking straws from DeLaCasa are made from 100% food grade Silicone. They are strictly BPA-Free, PVC-Free and Non-Toxic. They are made from slightly hardened silicone making them sturdier. They still guaranteeing supreme comfort and quality.
Why do I love the DeLa’Casa silicone reusable straws?
I love straws. Using straws help with air intake when I drink, and I drink less at a time this way. It also helps with digestion. These straws are wider and thicker so you can use them with a variety of drinks. I love that they are reusable so you are saving the environment.
These even come with a brush to clean the straw easier. This is huge! We have other reusable straws that were hard to clean because we didn’t have a brush or even think to purchase one. Now we can clean all of our straws easier.
The fun colors are great for families. Each family member can have a different straw color. I use the purple one and my mom uses one of the blue ones for example.
The fact that these straws are larger and wider it’s easy to use with milkshakes and smoothies.
Speaking of smoothies I’m always looking for new quick and delicious recipes. The easier it is to make the better for me. Here is a recipe I found recently. The best part about this recipe is that it’s already portioned control to make one smoothie at a time. I can’t wait to try it:
(from Amy’s Healthy Baking)
- 1 c (150g) frozen unsweetened strawberries
- ¾ c (180mL) nonfat or non-dairy milk
- 1 tsp (5mL) butter extract
- Optional: Truvia or other sweetener, to taste
Add all the ingredients to your blender and pulse until smooth.
