I had the opportunity recently to review some chips from Herr’s. I’m’ sure we’ve all heard of this brand. Did you know they sell baked chips?

You can see from the picture I was able to review a rather large variety of chips. Baked chips are actually better for you.  They have 0g trans fat and 0g of cholesterol. In my opinion the baked chips have more flavor than regular chips.

The Baked Chips come in the following flavors:

Aged Cheddar Ripple

Cheddar & Sour Cream

Original Baked

Original Ripple

Sour Cream & Onion

My two favorites were the Aged Cheddar Ripple and Cheddar & Sour Cream. Since these are baked not fried I don’t feel so guilty eating them.

The Herr’s company sells a lot of different snacks. They offer a printable coupon good for any baked snack or Kettle chips.

Here is some history about the company.

The Herr Foods story began in 1946 when 21-year-old James Stauffer Herr bought a small potato chip company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, for $1,750. In 1947, the business moved into a vacated tobacco shed on the Herr family farm. As he learned more about the business, Jim Herr developed new and better cooking processes and a delicious snack food became even better. As demand for Herr’s® Potato Chips grew, so did the company.

In September 1946, Jim proposed to Mim after an annual farm show in West Lampeter. Five months later they were married in the Hershey family’s house in Paradise.
