Review: Monster Golf

I received the following item(s) for in exchange for a fair and honest review. Although I received the item for review, the opinions stated are 100% my own.

My family was given complimentary tickets to Monster Golf from Family Fun Guide in exchange for a fair and honest review.

My husband and I took my daughter who is 18 to play. We had an amazing time!

Monster golf is an indoor miniature golf course. The entire playing area is glow in the dark. There are different things at a few obstacles that are mechanical and randomly move. Even when you know they are there, you never know when they will go off. One of them started to move and make noise just as my daughter was taking a shot. She screamed and jumped. My husband thought it was hysterical.

The people running it also get involved. One time over the loudspeaker they gave you directions for your next shot. You had to stand one one leg. That was interesting. We went during the day so we were the one ones there for a while, until another family came in. The owners asked a trivia question. I answered it correctly and won a glow in the dark pink Fedora. We keep it in the car so we can bring it with us next time.

At the end of the game they asked who won. We didn’t keep score, we did know my husband came in last though. They gave him a coupon for a free game on a return trip. So he ended up to be the winner!

We were given a tour of the upstairs where parties are held. Yes, you can even have a birthday party at Monster Golf. We were very impressed with the size of the rooms. During your party, you have access to a full size refrigerator/freezer and a microwave. I don’t know of any other place that has that.

My husband and I loved that there is a ramp to get to the upstairs not steps. This is perfect for those with mobility issues or a stroller.

We noticed all over the walls different hand prints with a name and birthdate. It turns out that is one of the birthday packages. If you purchase the Monster or higher party package your child can dip their hand into glow in the dark paint and become part of the decor. How awesome is that?

They have different sized golf clubs so that the smallest of players can join in the fun. Monster Golf is a very affordable thing for families to do. Big Monsters pay $9 and Little Monsters pay $8.

My local Monster Golf has a great coupon right now. Buy 1 Get 1 Mini Golf. This is available only at the Monroeville, PA location.  You can print the coupon here

My family will definitely be returning. We will also be bringing my 8 yr old step daughter with us. She will have a blast as well.
