Scrapbook Saturday: Chalk Talk

Scrapbook Saturday Icon

This week’s scrapbook page is called Chalk Talk. This is an older page from when my daughter was younger.  She was 12 when this page was done.

Chalk Talk

 Supplies:

PP: Slab (used for mounting the pictures its very light pink so its hard to see)
CS: DCWV I think
Letter Stencil
Chalk
Pink and yellow zig
2 different doodling templates

Journaling:

You were bored at camp one day. So you took your sidewalk chalk and drew on the road. We loved all of your designs and so did the people that drove by. 6-18-08 Age 12

I don’t always use pattern paper on my layouts. If you have a lot of empty space, stencils can fill it. I love that doodle stencil I used on this layout.

Scrapbook pages do not have to be full of all the amazing products on the market. You can create an amazing page with minimal products. It’s all about preserving your families pictures. My daughter is now 18. I love to look back at things she’s done, or activities we’ve done as a family.

Scrapbooking is just a creative fun way to document your families photos. It’s the who? what? where? why?

Thank you for the reminder. It is easy to get caught up and feel that we need all the stuff, but that isn’t really what scrap booking is all about. I don’t think that I have ever used stencils, and that is a great, economical solution! Thanks.

What a great memory for you and your daughter! For me this is exactly what scrapbooking is about, commemorating the special moments in the family!

I keep trying to get into scrapbooking, but it’s just not that exciting to me. My mom and grandma LOVE to do it though, and my mom comes up with some pretty intricate stuff!
