Summary of Be Still –
With a repetitive, rhythmic introduction of Psalm 46:10 (“Be still, and know that I am God!”), Be Still turns Bible memorization from a duty to a delight for children, using the author’s unique teaching strategy. This purposeful presentation of Scripture will help children memorize, understand, and absorb passages as the author presents this powerful verse one word at a time, teaching the meaning of each individual word before presenting the entire passage. Be Still builds a meaningful connection between God’s Word and a child’s life experiences, laying a foundation for a love and comprehension of Scripture. Parents and children will enjoy interacting together over the passage.

I love that this is a Sit for a Bit book. This is a great little book telling kids to “Be Still and Know that I am God”, in the best of ways. It tells them to be themselves. It tells them to not whine, take time to their-self. Be Still is beautifully illustrated and I truly adore it. I think this is a great bed time story for kids and it encourages the best in children. I believe it also teaches them the best about God. It’s a simple message and simple book easy to read. I honestly think this may be the first book my daughter will be able to commit to memory.
It’s a great beginner’s book for reading and introducing into the religious world. It tells kids to slow down a little and know that God is there for them. Beautifully written and with words any small child would understand. I am hugely recommending this book for any and all children, as it is that good to me.
