We know you’ve heard it a thousand times: Drinking water is good for you. Water is good for you not only because of the great things it does for your body but because it’s a great alternative to sweetened, caloric beverages like soda, fruit juice, sweetened iced teas and even drinks that you may not suspect, like Vitaminwater® which has 120 calories and 32 grams of sugar in 20 ounces. (Here’s a fun fact: Just switching out one can of soda or other 120 calorie drink per day for one glass of water can lead to an almost 15-pound weight loss in the course of a year without doing anything else.) And all you diet beverage drinkers, don’t think you’re off the hook. Consumption of diet sodas has been linked to weight gain and Type 2 diabetes.

Did you know that your body can become dehydrated if you only drink sugary drinks? Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way when I was in the Emergency Room a few months ago. I thought since I drink constantly (iced tea, and cola…bad I know) that I was hydrated. Boy was I wrong!
True Citrus really out did themselves with the package I got for my review. I received a lot of the beverage mix and some of their seasonings for food. The food seasoning is great because it’s SALT-FREE! That’s right, delicious seasonings for all of your food and it’s salt-free.
The salt-free seasoning is great because I have high blood pressure and salt can raise your blood pressure. All of the seasonings are great tasting. You can add a little or a lot. My husband doesn’t have much of a sense of taste because of his medical history so he always adds more seasoning to his food. I only need a little bit of seasoning on my food.
I keep a few packets of the beverage mix in my purse at all times so that when I’m out and about I can just buy a bottle of water to add it to. I get my water intake that day and it’s better than drinking sugary drinks especially when out in the sun.
The original lemonade and peach lemonade are my favorite flavors. Which flavor would you like to try the most?
