Wearever: Diabetic Socks

Wearever is known for their incontinence products. Most people do not realize they also sell 3 different kinds of diabetic socks.

If you are diabetic it is very important to keep the circulation going in your lower extremities. I didn’t even know there were a thing as diabetic socks until I learned about the Buster Brown Diabetic Loose Fit Top Socks.

Their socks are 100% cotton diabetic socks made by Buster Brown, for maximum comfort and durability. Appropriate for those with poor circulation, easily irritated skin, or diabetes Buster Brown 100% cotton socks are made with no elastic or synthetics. The seamless design of Buster Brown cotton socks with cushioning improve comfort, reduce binding, and eliminate skin irritation.

How do the Buster Brown diabetic socks differ from regular socks?

I’m not personally diabetic, but I do have poor circulation and foot problems. I can’t stand to wear socks for very long because they irritate my skin. I often have a mark where the elastic was at the top of the sock. I also tend to kick my socks off in the middle of the night and leave them in the bed, much to my husband’s dismay.

I absolutely love these socks. They are breathable and light. The mesh top keeps my skin from getting irritated and I can wear these socks all day and night. Since I have white ones they match with everything. I can easily wear them with my tennis shoes or my boots as well. I don’t have the feeling of my socks falling off, they stay put.

The Wearever company has a 3-Point Philosophy.

  • Consistent quality and performance – “it has to work”
  • Fashionable, stylish designs – “it has to be comparable with regular, contemporary underwear”
  • Attractive pricing – “it has to be cheaper over its lifetime than its alternatives”

i’ve been having skin issues for a few months now and just realized it’s because i bought socks with 40% synthetic fiber… i always ignored diabetic socks because i wasn’t diabetic, but now that i realize they’re 100% cotton, i’ll be trying them to see if they alleviate my symptoms!

My dad, 64, has diabetes and has had it for my whole life. He is also a construction worker and has had circulation and dry skin problems for a long time. He also had one of his big toes amputated a few years ago. Any kind of comfort I can bring him would be awesome.
