Summer is coming and that means the kids will want cool treats. A lot of the products on the market are full of preservatives, sugar, and other things that are not exactly healthy. How cool is it to make your own freezer pops? I call them freezie pops, everyone has different names for ice pops. No matter what you call them, they are delicious and refreshing on a hot day.

The Zipzicle company was developed from the owners son who could not eat any foods with strong dyes in it. It was easy to make their own for their son at home. The issue was taking them out with them. This was their solution.

Here are some benefits of using the Zipzicle:

  • No sticks
  • No small parts to lose or lids to replace
  • Reinforced sides and durable material
  • Easily make large batches
  • Perfect for parties, teams,  & families
  • Great for on-the-go snacking
  • You control the ingredients
  • No allergy worries
  • Provides healthy choices
  • BPA Free

You get 12 pouches for $2.99. The website has different recipes to make your own fun and healthy ice pops. You can find them here

I personally did something a little different with mine. Have you ever had a glass of ice tea get warm quickly? If you put traditional ice cubes in your glass, they not only melt quickly it waters down your drink. Studies have shown that cylinder shaped ice cubes last longer. I froze some of my favorite ice tea.

This idea worked great! My ice tea stayed cold longer and didn’t taste watered down at the end. What I love the most about this product is, if you are careful with the pouches they are washable and you can reuse them. I will definitely be making more frozen ice tea type ice cubes. One pouch can be broken in half to give you 2 cylinders per one pouch. This will work great when the temps really heat up this summer.

Zipzicle has gracious enough to offer 3 packages for 3 winners! If you would like to win your own set of pouches be sure to enter the giveaway below.
